Jaws drop when people see and hear this rare 1930s Alcoa Aluminum bass. It has a painted wood finish, but the only thing wooden is the bridge. On an ocean cruse the humidity would not affect it. When the troops went over seas during WWII, this bass could stand rougher treatment than a wooden instrument. Today you coud strip it down - chrome it outto a mirror finish - or, paint it any color. You could stand on it, sit on it, or lay down on it! Maybe put blinking red lights in the f holes as turn signals. - It could be your Rockabilly Dream Machine ! !
